GreenTech, that's a good question. I am considering to transfer to offices in Asia or Europe next year and then attend B-school in the US after 2 years. That way, once I graduate, I will also at least have the option to get another 6-year H1 in the US.

1) Start the GC process now and wait until I get the GC. Then think about B-school after I get the GC (I am not interested in part-time programs).

Personally for me, having an MBA in 5 years is more valuable than having a GC in 5 years, so I am leaning towards option 2 above. However, if I don't get into B-school, then that's another story... I would probably transfer back to the US on L1 and start the GC process. At that point, I would apply under EB2 anyway with my Bachelor's and 5+ years experience.

thanks for the link jkays94. I have known FAIR and NumbersUSA anti-immigrant position for a long time know. That they are a near-permanent fixture on Dobbs show only confirms this.
My point in posting this was to illustrate that immigration (pro or anti) lobbying organizations are well-oiled machines, having their own full-time Capitol Hill staff and professionally run fundraising capabilities.
Looking at all this, it is all the more commendable what IV-QGA has achieved in S 2611 (altho to be honest our provisions are not controversial, the rabidly anti-immigrant stance has even made passage of those modest provisions recapture of unused visa numbers and filing of 485's- difficult).

I am not sure whether to go for EB2 filing in PERM or wait one more year to file i485 (hope PD will reach 2003 september by next year october ). Even if i start EB2 perm now it's going to take at least one year to clear labor and i140 (if every thing smooth).

Ya, it is my first extension
sent RFE asking that Client letter on the original letter head.
which I couldnt get, but sent the vendor letter stating my duties and date from which started working etc even the copy of the client badge with photo on it is attached in reply to RFE.
But Its denied thats is not enough to prove that you are working at that client place and location. and it seems the employer i.e my h1 company is just token employer.
but I know the clock started from 31st march am in out of status.
will i able wipe out out of status as it effect in future ?
does MTR works or do I need to the appeal ?
What are chances of my transfer ?
Please gurus advise?

Hi Michael, nice shots. It's easy to see that you brought the discipline and hard work of your nature work to the studio. What was your lighting setup? Flash? strobes? How many and what positions? and how did you go about metering? They're very beautiful but just a little flat. Shadows add depth and will make the flowers pop out more. How's that for a vague concept? :) But if you have the ability to reposition the light(s) you should get some very different and interesting results. adjust to taste. shadows are good in many situations. Does anyone have exact idea on what is meant my PD portability. I have my i140 approved on locaiton A. Then I moved to location B and started a new labor and filed for 140 last month.
There was no mention in my second 140 about the old PD. When does exactly I have to mention that I have a PD to use. Is this in 485 stage? When I checked with my attorney he said, I have now two PDs and I can use any of them. But when and how I dont know?

I got my Green card in mail yesterday. I want to thank IV and everyone for all the support during this GC journey. I wish everyone all the best for their green card process. I wish everyone gets to file 485 irrespective of priority dates and ultimately get their green cards. This is a question to Admin, i have a recursive donation going on, I would like to make a one time donation and stop the recursive donation.

I think you need to be in US when the application reaches the USCIS office.
Right now you can send the application to your lawyers office and ask him to check the application.Mail it to the USCIS when u r back in the country.
Once you travel outside the US you dont have any status,u need to be in country to adjust your status from non immgrant to immgrant.
Am I in the same situation? My spouse left US today to INDIA. However we filled the 485 on July 2nd. Will they consider that as abandonment of the application?

Well your argument sounds one sided. It is true neither China nor India's currency is fully convertible. But what country does not like to have competitive edge when it can afford to.
Even US provides subsidies to its farmers to make its agricultural products artifically competitive. Another example, US banned Indian steel companies from doing business in US, because Indian steel companies were providing better steel for cheaper price.
I am not saying that India and China are great. Just wanted to bring the other side of your argument to fore.
I do not think USA is losing ground. If China and India thinks that they are Really improving economy Why can't they make their currencies free Trade? Why are they artifically Keeping exchange rates. The reason is if really a country is stronger then currency should go up and US dollar should become weaker. But India and Cannot sustain as the export business will go down for India and China if their currency becomes too strong. So India and China are looking for US and europe Market. So inter dependence is always there. There is lot of speculation that India will exceed US in 2020. But it is far from true. For stronger Indian economy India needs US Consumption. For that USA needs to be stronger. May be lot of human resources are there in india. But that will be also resolved in another 20 Years because still Inflow is more than return to india. 80% of H1s are Indians apart from lot of L1 people.

1. Manner of Last Entry : I think it should be PAR:PAROLEE
2. Current Immigration Status : Again think should be PAR:PAROLEE
3. There is a field where it asks for previous EAD's. I am not sure of the date when i applied last time, what date i should put, the date from which EAD is valid ?
4. Also i have applied for EAD twice, do we need to put the information for both of them.
5. Other Names/Aliases : I think it should be 'None' in my case as i never had any other name, am i right or should it be left blank.
6. for Eligibility status i think the value should be : (c)(9) FILED I-485

Can anyone help with advice? Talk about frustration! I qualify for EB2 since I have a masters degree (and also more than 5 years of experience in my field). I could qualify for EB2 except that my job description "prefers" (rather than "requires") a masters degree. The language prevents my compay from filing EB2, yet my job responsibilities are such that they certaily warrant a masters degree. My compay doesn't want to change my position or wording even though they clearly know (through my explanations) that that means adding close to 5-6 years to the wait! They also fail to see that making me wait so long also affects them because the company cannot promote me or chage my responsibilities for the duration of the wait! Has anyone been through the same situation?
